Dr. James Southerland,MD is a family medicine specialist, and has over 34 years experience in general medical practice.He is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. Over the years Dr. Southerland has perfected his skills as not only a physician, but serving as a medical director as well. Dr. Southerland has invested his time in being actively involved with the Preceptorship Program at Mercer Medical School located in Macon, GA, as well as with the Physician’s Assistant Program at Emory School of Medicine located in Atlanta, GA. For 20 years he served as Board Member of GC Health Department.Dr. Southerland has received several local honorary awards for years of dedication and communication service in past 30 years.
